Winter Holiday

During the christmas break, i wasnt looking forward of celebrating this break because every year when christmas shows up i dont recieve present or get anything special. i dont get to see my wifey in a while, which makes my heart incomplete. It is very hard to live life without her. If i have a chance to explain more about my love life, you guy will want to be like me. So lets put that on the side and get back to my break. So i wasnt allow to chill with my friends and mostly stay home and listen to my mom. But this year i enjoy it. I get to go out and be with my girlfriend. She put a smile on my face and i recieve a big ass gift from her and also from my parent. I went to new jersey with my cousin and stay over for almost a week. Like i said before, it was nice to get away from my parent once in a while. I dont have to paid any atention to them. Over at my anuts home, we went shopping and had a big dinner. I got my air jordan 7s and a sidekick LX. what a gift and hopefully every break will turn out to be this year, 2008. On the 30th i have to get back to New York to celebrate our 16months anniversary. My anut and uncle stay over at my place and we just gamble and have fun.

During Christmas i was over at my anuts home with my cousin. We had a lot of fun and i get to sleep very late, which is so fun. No parent telling you to go to bed and me and my cousin just gether up together and play. We also went shopping and i was trying to get my wifey a gift. OMG! i swear, i had a lot of fun. I just want to live with my anut and uncle.

Well at New Year Eve, i went back home and my cousin stay over. We had a lot of fun. My mom was out of the house and i didnt have to do anything, so i just play and talk to my wifey on the phone. But, once my mom end up getting home, i have to help her to clean the house and get ready to pray to my ancestors for better luck. We had hot pot for dinner and my parent gave me lucky money to earn more lucks.

Althought, connecting my New Year to the American Way of Life, Chinese people mostly have a task to do at home. The mother and the child clean the house and the father just set up the event, by cooking and burning money to our anecstors. Parents will distrub lucky money and we had to pray to our ancerstor just for lucks and respects. Althought, my family doesnt celebrate Christmas, it is also reflected on the American Way of Life. Christmas is a holiday when people recieve gifts from their families and friends. The person that is recieveing the gift does earn something special because she/ he did something good. My cousin stole my dads camera and i was the one who got it back. I did something good, so my dad reward me with a sidekick LX. This holiday is a way to related to the American Way of Life because it is a chance where families and friends gather up to exchange loves and gift. In class, Sandy talks about how americans gather up on Union Square to see the ball drop, it is a way to remember the pass and start a new life. As people pray for good wells and living, it is not always comes true but thats how the American Way Of Life works.
